What We Are Currently Working On
- Robot development: University of Sheffield, Minicam and EMS have begun experimental design and build in laboratory conditions.
- Robot Housing development: Minicam are begun designing the robot housing/garage but this is dependent on field surveys of target deployment inspection chambers (AKA manholes).
- Site Selection: We are in the process of identifying two zones / optimal locations for safe and effective deployment once the robot is ready for field trials.
- Site survey: Within these zones we are identifying and surveying potential launch inspection chambers where the robot will be housed.
- Field trial Planning: Both power and data will need to be provided at the robot housing for early trials, where the robot will be tethered to a motorized reel housed in a secure kiosk.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring the kiosk setup meets all safety and ventilation standards for hazardous environments.
